Founded in 1997 and since 2002, Fortrex Technologies has delivered three robust mainline PCI DSS assessment/audit services targeted to service providers and merchants for annual security audits. Hundreds of Fortrex customers located throughout the US have used their services to ensure that they conform to the strict security standards instituted by the PCI Security Standards Council, an independent body that governs the security standards for the payments industry.
Fortrex has worked closely with the PCI Security Standards Council to ensure that their solutions conform to its strict security standards. The PCI Security Standards Council was created to enhance payment account security by fostering broad adoption of the PCI Security Standard. It is an open global forum for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security standards for account data protection. The PCI Security Standards Council was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International.
Fortrex is QSA, ASV and PA QSA certified. Recently, the PCI Security Standards Council has announced a quality assurance program for qualified security assessors and approved scanning vendors. The new program was designed to provide assessors and vendors with a set of requirements that helps ensure they provide consistent, quality validation and assessment services to merchants and service providers. Fortrex has taken this requirement very seriously and has enhanced internal quality control policies and procedures and has added QA staff to stay up to date with the PCI Security Standards Council’s security standards.
